William “Jono” Young is an injury lawyer who uses his tenacity and keen legal mind to help accident victims recover the compensation they deserve. Based at our headquarters in Austin, he focuses his practice on car accidents, dog bites, premises liability, product injuries, and many other complex personal injury matters.
Prior to joining Zinda Law Group, Jono gained legal experience serving as a judicial intern for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. He went on to work for several years as a defense attorney for commercial injury claims at law firms in both Colorado and Texas. In that role, he acquired valuable insight into defensive strategy, but he eventually discovered that his true calling was as a plaintiff’s attorney, as he wanted to help individuals and families dealing with personal injury.
Involved in his professional community, this talented litigator is an active member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Austin Young Lawyers Association, and the Austin Bar Association. In addition, he co-authored an article titled “Navigating the Settlement Provision of the Texas Proportionate Responsibility Statute” that was published in The Critical Path, the newsletter of the Construction Law Committee.
Jono graduated with a bachelor’s degree in geography from the University of Colorado Boulder and subsequently earned his juris doctorate from The University of Texas at Austin School of Law, which is perennially ranked as one of the top law schools in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. While in law school, he received the Dean’s Achievement Award for Excellence in the Study of Jurisprudence.
Outside the office, Jono enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, as well as hiking, running, and playing guitar.
